Asfixia Social is one of the most powerful acts in today’s Brazilian music scene. Founded in 2007, the band has made the fusion of styles and a strong social commitment its unmistakable trademark, earning cultural awards, performing at street culture festivals, and appearing on radio and television both in Brazil and abroad.
With their mix of rap, rock, street attitude, and sharp lyrics, Asfixia Social has collaborated with iconic artists such as BNegão from Planet Hemp and Gaspar from Z’África Brasil, successfully bringing to their music the experiences and realities of São Paulo’s outskirts. Now, after an intense European tour, they are promoting their latest release, Walls Won’t Make You Safe, a work that reflects their artistic maturity and critical vision of today’s world.
